SERVICES WE PROVIDE
Developmental disability services mean a variety of community-based supports and residential services designed to enable individuals with developmental disabilities to stay in their own homes whenever possible and to achieve the highest potential for independence and self-sufficiency. Rising Village, Inc. provides the following services:
COMMUNITY LIVING - GROUP HOME
Rising Village, Inc. provides community-based residences in safe, attractive neighborhoods and communities. Individuals living in these homes receive 24/7 direct support care from highly trained staff who understand the individual’s support plan and holistic needs.
RESPITE CARE
Rising Village, Inc. provides short-term relief for primary caregivers – anywhere from a few hours to a few weeks. Respite care can be arranged daily, weekly, or as needed for planned or emergencies. Care may be provided:
- In the caregiver’s home
- In a Rising Village, Inc. licensed site
- At an adult day center, school, or alternative site that meets the needs of the individual
Caregivers are Superheroes, not Superhuman, so Rising Village, Inc. respite care is an extenuation of the caregiver to give them relief while providing personalized care for their loved one.
PERSONAL SUPPORT
Rising Village, Inc. provides Personal Support Services to adults with developmental and intellectual disabilities in the Central and Southern Maryland Regions. Personal Supports services (i.e., personal care and assistance with ADLs, budgeting, and house management) are hands-on assistance, developed in a personalized manner to support independence for individuals we serve in their own homes and community.
SUPPORTED LIVING
Rising Village, Inc. provides individualized services to persons living independently but needing that extra support and services to fully encompass the knowledge and basic skills to live a successful life and navigate independently. In addition, Rising Village, Inc. will assist individuals with integrating into the community and maximizing the limited resources to help the individual tap all available support within their community.
TRANSITION SERVICES
Non-recurring financial assistance for DDA participants moving from an institution to a licensed group home or from a licensed group home to their own personal home.
HOUSING SUPPORT SERVICES
Rising Village, Inc. provides a service delivery system for individuals with developmental disabilities that are seeking to transition to independent living through housing options offered by federal, state, and local stakeholders. The Housing Support Specialist (HSS) will actively engage individuals seeking to rent or own a residence through services offered using a holistic framework that can adapt to the changing needs and circumstances of the tenants during initial occupancy and throughout the life of the project.
COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT SERVICES
Rising Village, Inc. offers Community Development Services or the training and maintenance of skills related to community members through engagement in community-based activities with those who are able-bodied. We will promote positive growth, teach general skills, and how to navigate in an environment with others necessary for employment opportunities.
EMPLOYMENT SERVICES
Employment Services is one of the core services offered by Rising Village, Inc. Our program is designed to develop skill sets and provide training and work experience for adults with intellectual developmental disabilities. The program aims to promote each individual’s maximum occupational potential according to their interest.
SUPPORTED EMPLOYMENT
Support for the employee with the goal of helping them retain employment while performing their duties effectively; Accompany the individual to the workplace to monitor and assist if there is an issue/problem.
TRANSPORTATION
Rising Village, Inc. provides transportation services to ensure individuals have access to appointments, community-based activities, and completing daily living tasks in response to needs identified in the individual’s person-centered plan.
